Cemetery Decoration Privileges
(Revised October, 2024)

St. Mary's Parish Cemetery strives to create a respectful environment for honoring our beloved deceased, while maintaining the overall beauty and safety of our Cemetery throughout the year. We are not responsible for flowers or items left at the cemetery or damage to surfaces. The cemetery reserves the right to remove at any time, any decoration that violates the decoration policy or disrupts cemetery operations.

Only flowers and small national flags of 15 inches or less (without metal stakes) are allowed in the vase provided by the cemetery, and cannot obscure the marker or interfere with the space of another. To ensure the safety of visitors, staff, and equipment, all other items are prohibited, including the following: balloons, pinwheels, clay, ceramic, glass, metal, stones, toys, wood, and any breakables or valuables.

Niches and Crypts: Nothing may be taped or glued to the crypt or niche front except those permanent items affixed by cemetery staff.

Graves: Flowers on graves cannot be more than 15 inches in height and 15 inches in width, and must be placed in the flower vase provided by the cemetery.

Christmas Decorations

January 12th: All Christmas decorations will be removed by January 12th. Decorations will be recycled/disposed of if not removed by that date.

Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining the beauty of our cemeteries. Also, please remember others by donating flowers to local care facilities in honor of your loved ones.
